*To benefit from this reduced registration fee, participants must be undergraduate or Ph.D. students. A confirmation must be provided by the direct supervisor (further details will be available during the registration procedure).
§The fee includes one-year membership of the European Section of the International Society for Heart Research.


Payment procedure

Payment is possible by bank transfer or by credit card/PayPal. Further details about the payment procedure is available through your personal myISHR area.

Before processing the payment, please determine wheter you have specific billing requirements.
Please decide to whom your registration costs must be billed to and make sure that you have all the required information: address, VAT number (where applicable) or fiscal code (codice fiscale, for Italians only), etc.

If the invoice has to be issued to an office of the Italian public administration (e.g., your Department, your University, etc), you need to follow the procedure for electronic invoicing for PA (Pubblica Amministrazione): in this case, before proceeding with the payment, contact us at to receive further instructions.

Administrative surcharges will apply if you process your payment incorrectly.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations with a refund request must be sent by e-mail to the secretariat and must be accompanied by a valid justification. Refunds will be decided case by case by the organising secretariat. If accepted, cancellations within 1 June 2021 will be refunded fully minus an administrative charge. No refunds will be provided after 1 June 2021.


Abstracts are accepted exclusively through your personal myISHR area; you will need to register to have access to the latter. Registration does not require an immediate payment but payment must be completed by 24 May 2021, otherwise abstracts will not be considered for oral presentation and will not be included in the programme book.

The abstract submission deadline is 24 April 2021. The Scientific Committee will then review the received abstracts for oral or poster presentations.

The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author only. Each registered participant may submit a maximum of one abstract.

Abstracts guidelines

  • The title must start in uppercase and continue in lowercase, except for conventional terms (ATP, DNA, NFκB, etc).
  • If more than one author, underline your name (the presenting author, in whatever position you appear in the author list) and use commas to separate the names; do not use 'and' before the last author. The presenting author's first name(s) and surname should be written in full; for all other authors, write first name(s) as initials and surname in full. If more than one affiliation, use sequential superscript numbers to identify each institution.
  • The abstract text must be no longer than 2000 characters, spaces included (which is roughly equivalent to 250 words).
Important dates

Registrations for this meeting continue to be open until 25 June 2021 but please note that, beyond the deadline indicated below, you will only be able to pay using the PayPal/credit card system. No other forms of payment will be possible after 1 June 2021.
